Hi friends! Welcome to my blog (:

As many of you already know, I am an art lover at my core. It makes me feel connected to everyone who came before me, and I think that’s so special in a time where we don’t have to even be present with one another to communicate. Life is all about connection and emotion, and art provides us with that and more. Like I said in my little ‘About’ section, art can be interpreted in an infinite amount of ways. Each person brings something different to the table, allowing us to all find a different story in whatever art form we are witnessing. There is a small piece of all of us woven into any piece of art, whether it’s literature, a painting, music, or photography.

I will be using this blog for a couple of things! First and foremost, I will be selecting artworks that have made an impact on me and writing an analysis on them. This may be a painting, a photograph, or a song. My interpretation will most likely not be the same as yours, but that’s the fun of it. Honestly, this is quite vulnerable. My analyses will reveal a lot about me to you, as they will reflect my emotions and life experiences (good and bad). I think it’s helpful for all of us remember that we don’t truly know what someone is feeling or going through, so what I’m hoping to accomplish with this blog is to create a space for all of you to connect with me a little bit more. Secondly, I plan to use this page to share some of my own writing! I process a lot through writing, and this will give me a place to throw my thoughts out into the void. I’m no professional (hence the name of this blog), but I am a firm believer in sharing your art no matter your skill level. You never know who it may resonate with (:

I’m hoping to hold myself accountable and keep up with posting on here, but we all know I drop hobbies in the blink of an eye. It’s simply my nature. Anyway, that’s all I have for this little welcome post. I hope you stick around and enjoy my word vomit.
